Robert G. Bass
Robert Gordon Bass, 42, of 352 Glenwood Drive, formerly connected with the N.C. & St. L. Railway and later employed by the county jail for approximately eight years, died at his home Friday afternoon.
Mr. Bass, a nephew of Mayor Ed Bass, served the county under Sheriffs Fred Payne and Frank Burus.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Burch Bass; mother, Mrs. Bell Bass; sister, Mrs. Opal Magnus, and twin brothers, Roy M. Bass.
The body will remain at the Eugene Turner Funeral Home until time for the funeral. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
