Long Island Star Journal, Monday, January 6, 1945 Jennie Bassett Services will be held for Miss Jennie E. Bassett of 8 Cherry street, Floral Park, at the Fairchild Chapel, Franklin avenue, Garden City, tonight. A former resident of Astoria, Miss Bassett was a teacher-clerk at Public School 176, Brooklyn, until her retirement in 1928. Surviving are her niece, Miss Julia E. Piper, with whom she was living at the time of her death; two nephews, Morton G. Bassett and Leonard C. Bassett, and Mabel Fortune. Burial will be in the family plot in Milford, Conn., tomorrow.
