NETTLETON - Jeffrey Baxter Bass age 55, of Nettleton, MS, passed away at his home on October 20, 2024. Jeff was born to Jerry Baxter Bass and Peggy Anne Parham Bass on February 11, 1969 in Nashville, TN. Jeff grew up in Antioch, TN and attended Antioch High School. Jeff had a kind sweet soul, and his smile and laughter could light up a room. He loved being outdoors and spent many years in Panama City Beach, FL where he found his calling maintaining golf courses. He returned to Nettleton and was employed at the Natchez Trace Golf Club. He loved his job there and his co-workers were like his family. Jeff was an avid sports fan and loved his Tennessee Volunteers - Go Big Orange!!
He is survived by his daughter, Krysta L. Douglas of Trinity, FL; sister, Stephanie B Belcher (Tommy) of White House, TN; brother Keith E. Bass of Nettleton, MS; nephew, Joshua T. Belcher (Brittney) of Greenbrier, TN; niece, Jaycee T. Bass of Antioch, TN; aunts Frances (Paul) Riley of Nettleton, MS., Donna Spann of Kingston Springs, TN, Mary Sue (Doug) Elliott of Goodsprings, TN, Jane Chapman of Brentwood, TN; uncle James Bass of Madrid, Spain; and a host of beloved cousins.
Jeffrey is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Baxter Bass and Peggy Anne Parham Bass.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
