Loving husband of Suzanne (nee Harrison). Cherished father of Lee-Ann (Tom) Hough. Loving Pop of Gunnar. Sadly missed by sister Deb (Dave) VanElslander. Predeceased by parents John Barrie Bassett and Doris June Bassett (nee McCreath). For the last ten years, Tom lived his dream of raising Boer goats on his farm in Southgate, Grey County. He was the former owner of Leonard Elliott Tools in Brantford. Tom was also a former Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Board in Brantford. The family will receive friends at the "THORPE BROTHERS' FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL", 96 West Street, on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 10-11am. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at 11am.
