Grace A. Bass Clevenger
CLEVENGER, GRACE A. BASS - age 84, of Knoxville, departed this life for her Heavenly Home April 22, 2013. Member of Sharon Baptist Church for over 50 years. Retired from Zayre's and White Stores. Preceded in death by husband, Curtis I. Clevenger; parents, Arvin and Naomi Bass; brothers, Waldmore, Ed, David, James Bass; sisters, Anne Mullinax, Mary Bass. Survived by children, Shirley (Paul) Bean, Bruce (Susan) Clevenger; Sue (Rex) Stooksbury, Jimmy ((Debbie) Clevenger; six grandchildren, Tifni (Joey) Trammell, Trisha (Rob) Carver, Jason (Kim) Stooksbury, John Curtis Stooksbury, Aubrey (Chris) Wells, Matthew (Kristi) Clevenger, Brian (Sabrina) Etters, Matt (Bridgett) Jones; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Cate, of Knoxville, Julie Price of Warrensburg, MO; several nieces and nephews; many special friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sharon Baptist Ministry Center, 7716 Pedigo Road, Knoxville 37938 or to the American Cancer Society, 871 Weisgarber Road, Knoxville 37909. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, April 25 at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service and interment. Pallbearers: Jason and John Curtis Stooksbury, Rob Carver, Joey Trammell, Chris Wells, Matthew Jones. The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at Sharon Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Mark McCoig, Pastor Dennis Blazier, and Dr. Jim Robertson officiating. Serving the family: Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at N. Broadway.
