Philip Clark Bass Sr.
BASS, SR., Mr. Philip Clark Age 77, a lifelong resident of Dayton, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 5, 2008, following a long term illness. He graduated from Dunbar High School in 1948 as Valedictorian of his class. He was employed by Sol Schultz & Co. and the Dayton International Airport until his retirement. Preceded in death by his parents, Clark & Ethel Bass; great-grandson Lionel Gaines, Jr. Phil is survived by his 5 loving children: Philip C. Bass, Jr., Carolyn M. Jackson, Roslyn E. Thornton, Melissa (Kevin) Donaldson, Russell N. Bass; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be held 1 pm Monday, March 10, 2008 at Woodland Chapel, 118 Woodland Avenue. Entombment Woodland Mausoleum will be his final resting place.
