Bass Statesville, January 23 - Quince Rufus Bass, 74, retired farmer, died today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred A. Brown, on Wilson Street, his death following three months illness with complications. Mr. Bass was a native of Iredell county, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Bass. Surviving are his wife, four sons, four daughters and a sister. Funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock from Rose Chapel on the Harmony Road.
