Jean Bass age 87, of Winter Park, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on April 25, 2017. Mrs. Bass was born July 4, 1929 in Corbin, Kentucky, the daughter of the late John W. & Ida R. (Gregory) Dixon. Prior to her retirement she worked as a telephone operator. She was predeceased by one brother, and three sisters. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Paul T. Bass, son David (Kim) Bass, and daughter Carla (Karl) Hodges. She is also survived by six grandchildren Brett (Melissa Bosco) Hodges, Casey (Michaela) Hodges, Eric (Rachael) Hodges, Kelly (Taylor) McKinnon, Evan Bass, and Ian Bass. The family will be receiving friends Friday, April 28, 2017 from 6:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM at Collison Family Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Willow Creek Presbyterian Church with reception to follow. Interment will be held at Drawdy Rouse Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations in her name to Hospice of the Comforter 480 W. Central Parkway Altamonte Springs, Florida 32714, phone (407) 682-0808.
