Angeline Bassett Jones (Picture included)
20, 1946 - Nov. 24, 2015 Angeline Bassett Jones, 69, of Owens Cross Roads, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday. She was born in Moultrie, GA and grew up in Decatur, GA, graduating from Avondale High School. She attended Georgia Southern College in Statesboro, GA, where she met and married her husband, Mahlon Jones, Jr., of 46 years. They later moved to Florence, AL and then to Huntsville, AL, where she was a realtor for over 30 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Angie was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jo Bassett; brother, David Bassett; son, William Damon Jones; and husband, Mahlon H. Jones, Jr. Survivors include daughters, Camilla Felix and Cassandra Jones; granddaughters, Katie, Mary Leigh and Emily Felix, all of Huntsville; father, John Bassett of Monticello, GA; brother and wife, Wesley and Dodi Bassett of Social Circle, GA; sister, Melissa Bassett of Monticello, GA; niece, Alicia Bassett of Monticello, GA; and sister-in-law and husband, Marcy and Leon Bunkley of Statesboro, GA. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Maple Hill.
