James Bass
James Albert Bass, 85, of White Hall, died October 23, 1996, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born June 27, 1911, in the Providence community, he was the son of the late William Joe Bass and Bessie Ida Fitzhugh Bass.
He was a retiree of General Waterworks, and a member of Claude Road Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Muril Bass; and a daughter, Betty Sue Rogers.
Survivors include his wife, Veoma Browning Bass; a son, Joe Bass of Pine Bluff; a daughter, Chris Yarbrough of Glendale; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Hale-South Funeral Home with Ed Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled for today from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Claude Road Baptist Church.
