      Clinton Duane Bass, passed away peacefully at Baylor University Medical Center on October 11, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on August 13, 1948, in Hutchinson, Kansas, Clinton led a life marked by service, dedication, and a love for his country.
      Clinton's early years set the stage for a lifetime of commitment and hard work. After finishing high school, he bravely served in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1971. His time as Military Police during the Korean and Vietnam Wars showcased his valor and unwavering spirit. These formative experiences helped shape Clinton into the resilient and patriotic individual known to all.
      Following his honorable discharge, Clinton channeled his disciplined nature into a fruitful career as an electrician in the aircraft industry. His skilled hands and sharp mind were not only assets to his profession but also to the hobbies he so loved. Clinton found solace and joy in woodworking and gardening, activities that reflected his meticulous nature and ability to nurture growth both in wood and in life.
      Clinton's service to his country did not end with his military career. He continued to give back to his fellow veterans as an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) American Legion, and Vietnam Veterans of America VVA. His dedication to these organizations was a testament to his enduring commitment to his brothers and sisters in arms. This dedication did not go unnoticed, as evidenced by the recognition he received when awarded the DAR Outstanding Veteran Volunteer Award and the Texas Veterans Commission Outstanding Veterans Champion Recognition. These honors were a mere reflection of the impact he had on the lives of countless veterans and their families.
      Clinton will be laid to rest on November 6, 2025 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 11:15am with Doug Peebles officiating.
      He is preceded in death by his parents, John Noble Bass, and Shirley Jean Thompson Bass. Clinton leaves behind wife, Kathryn Hanna Bass, daughter, Deidre Bass Sickles, grandchildren, Ella and Owen Sickles, brothers, Melvin Bass and Dan Bass.
