Obituaries
Final Rites for Percy H. Bassett
Services were held Tuesday, December 28, 1993, at the Church of the Nazarane in Arnold, for Percy Hilbert Bassett, 86, who died December 21st in Lancaster, California. The Rev. Steve Weber, Rev. Mark Joedeman, and Rev. Homer Skidgel officiated.
Survivores include three daughters, Carolyn Eberly and husband Larry of Anaheim, California, Norma Jean Bassett of Everett, Washington and Faye Wrinkle and husband Don of Lancaster, California; a son, Suane Bassett of Blythedale, Missouri; four granddaughters; seven grandsons; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dixie Bassett; daughter Maxine Joedeman; son Harold Bassett and grandson Elden Bassett.
Music was be DeAnna Joedeman and Elizabeth Joedeman. Selections were "To God Be The Glory," "Day By Day," and "What A Day That Will Be."
Pallbearers are Jeff Wrinkle, Jon Wrinkle, Mike Joedeman, Bruce Williams, Bill Ward, and Ed Bassett.
Percy H. Bassett was born in Callaway, Nebraska October 12, 1907. He farmed in areas around Arnold for many years. In 1953 he moved to California, living in San Pedro and Orange. In 1980 he reitred to Blythedale, Missouri. The last two years he lived with his daughter in California.
Interment was in the Arnold Cemetery.
