Elizabeth Vaughn And Richard Bass In Church Ritual
RUSSELLVILLE, Ala., May 31-Miss Elizabeth Rhea Vaughn, of Russellville and Bryan, Tex., daughter of Mrs. Lillian Britnell Vaughn, of Russellville, and Archie Clarence Vaughn, of Mt. Hope, Ala., became the bride of Richard Carr Bass, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Richard Dayton Bass, of McKinney, Tex., in a ceremony at 6 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Russellville, Ala. The Rev. Thomas B. Bealle officiated.
First Lt. James C. Vaughn, of Ft. Knox, Ky., gave his sister in marriage. The bride wore a gown of white faille taffeta, made with basque bodice, sweetheart neckline, full sleeves and bouffant skirt with train. The three-tiered French illusion veil of fingertip length fell from a halo of French lace and seed pearls. The bride carried a fan-shaped bouquet of orange blossoms, white roses, valley lilies and stephanotis.
Mrs. James C. Vaughn attended the bride as matron of honor. She wore a white organdy frock with headdress of pichoted organdy and carried a fan-shaped bouquet of sweetpeas.
Bridesmatron and maid were Mrs. C.B. McKissick, of KcKinney, Tex., sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Doris Underwood, who were dressed like the honor attendant and carried the same kind of flowers.
Poppy McKissick was flower girl. Her dress was of white marquisette. Ringbearer was Walter Chenault, of Decatur.
Mr. Bass served his son as best man and ushers included Elliott Phares and Frank Chenault.
Mrs. Paralee Morrison played the organ. The church was decorated with white flowers and foliage.
Summer flowers decorated the home of the bride?s mother for the reception after the ceremony. Mrs. R.L. Evans cut the tiered embossed cake, which was placed upon a mirror plaque, and Mrs. Frank Chenault registered guests. For her wedding trip to Hot Springs, Ark., the bride wore a beige linen suit with Calcutta lizard and natural linen accessories. After June 10 the couple will be at home in Bryan, Tex.
The bride attended Judson College, Marion, Ala. Mr. Bass, a graduate of Texas Christian University, is now attending Texas A.& M. College.

Albert, Chicago; Mrs. Ann Bendall and daughter, Dorothy, and Mrs. Floyd Smith, of Birmingham.
