Gowland T. Bass
Gowland ?Goldie? Bass joined the Hudson Volunteer Fire Department in November 1974 and has been a dedicated fixture ever since. He also helped with the haunted house fundraiser as Grandpa Hafaker.
His selfless dedication to this community was unmatched. He served as a role model for all firefighters.
Goldie was a certified peace officer, had been a scout leader, and was an avid scuba diver. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
His parents were Bernice Powell (Mason) and Rowland Bass.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Gloria Burch.
Survivors include his wife, Katie (McNellis) Bass; daughters, Michielle Bernice Morris and husband Jerry, Brandy Christine Holt and husband Billy; 4 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; brother, Gordon Bass and wife Linda; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and countless friends.
