Florence Reese Bass
Florence Reese Bass, 85, died March 4, 2012.
Florence was born to Allen Wade and Aurelia McCargo Reese Wade on July 5, 1926 in Mecklenburg County.
A homemaker, she raised her children and was then employed at various golf courses. The last fifteen years of her working career Florence was a drycleaner and seamstress. She completed cosmetology school and was a member of Clarksville Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bass is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Julia Bass and David Bullock of Southern Pines, N.C., a son, Wilton Allen Bass of Clarksville, and three grandchildren, Len Pipkin, Marty Bullock, and Robin Barnes.
The family received friends on Tuesday, March 6, at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Oakhurst Cemetery.
