Ralph Lindsey Bass, age 70, of Elkton, MD died Thursday, January 2, 2014. Born in Bailey, NC on September 9, 1943 he was the son of the late Jimmy Bass and the late Emma Emmershy.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Bass retired from Chrysler Corporation, Newark, DE, where he had worked for 30 years. He was a member of UAW #1183, Newark and VFW Post 8175, Elkton and enjoyed time with his family and playing video games.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, L. Carol Burks Bass; children, Jack L. Bass, and Carol A. Register and her husband, Chris, all of Elkton, MD; sisters, Faye Bass and Joyce Bissette, both of Bailey, NC and grandchildren Shelby Cassidy and husband, Scott and Sarah and Kimberly Register.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103. W. Stockton St., Elkton, 21921, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, c/o the funeral home at the above address.
