Alberta G. Bass
OKLAHOMA CITY
Albert G. ?Bertie? Bass passed into the presence of her Lord on October 2, 2014. Surely, she was greeted by the love of her life, Donald J. Bass. They enjoyed a loving marriage that exceeded 51 blessed years and produced four children. Bertie was preceded in death by Don; and their son, Michael. She is survived by their children, Sabrina, Kim and Mark; her daughter-in-law, Janet; grandchildren, Emily (Bass) Wiser and husband Chris, and Adam Bass and wife Esther; and four great-grandchildren. Bertie excelled at many roles in her life: wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, businesswoman, lecturer, world traveler and hostess extraordinaire. She was an avid clown collector and a passionate Sooner and Thunder fan. Yet, serving as a Sunday School teacher for over 40 years was one of her dearest achievements. Bertie was, in the words of a friend, ?A grand lady full of grace and love.? Visitation at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home, 14624 N. May Ave., OKC, OK 73134, Monday, October 6 through Tuesday, October 7, ending at 6 p.m. Service will be held Wednesday, October 8 at 2 p.m. at Quail Springs Baptist Church, 14613 N. May Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73134. Flowers or donations to Quail Springs Baptist Church would be a lovely memorial in remembrance of Bertie.
