Dianna (Bassett) Thompson
Dianna (Bix) Thompson, 83, beloved mother, grandmother and sister was called to her eternal resting place on March 11, 2022. She entered this world on April 3, 1938 in Red Rock, Oklahoma to Grant Bassett and Lena (Shadlow) Bassett. Dianna attended school in Red Rock and graduated in 1956. On January 12, 1959 she married Bernice Coleman Thompson and together they had three children.
Dianna had many loves in her life, her most loved was her family. She also loved the Dallas Cowboys, red muscle cars, and going to casinos. Dianna was also a very independent person and her self determination shaped her into the lady she was and she never believed a goal was too high to reach. Dianna was preceded in death by her husband Bernie, daughter Cynthia Marie, son Mark Ryan, one grandson Andrew, and two sisters Regina and Karen.
Regina Ann Bassett Young Andrews was born Aug. 6, 1941, in Pawnee to Grant Bassett and Lena Shadlow. She passed from this life at her home in Stillwater on Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, having reached the age of 66 years, 11 months, and 25 days.
She married Ronald L. Andrews on Jan. 12, 1973, and they moved to Stillwater from Pawnee in 1991. She was affiliated with the Baptist Church, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, getting together with her family, and watching westerns.
Regina is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Andrews of Stillwater; her son, Tim Black and his family of Red Rock; two daughters, Robin Andrews of Stillwater and Althea Young and family of Stillwater; 12 grandchildren; six sisters; three brothers; plus numerous nieces, other relatives, and many friends.
Regina was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Lena Bassett; her husband, Eltop Young; two sons, Victor Young and Ronnie Andrews; and her sister, Lisa Black.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at the Otoe Baptist Church in Red Rock with the Rev. Joseph Hill officiating. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the Otoe-Missouria Cemetery in Red Rock under the direction of Poteet Funeral.
