  Notes	The Town Talk, Alexandria, Louisiana, 3 October 1938 Mrs. Elmer Bass ELIZABETH, La., Oct. 3 -- Funeral services were held at the home of Drew Simmons, Saturday morning for his sister, Mrs. Elmer Bass, 41, who died at her home in Beaumont, Texas, Wednesday, September 28, 1938, Rev. Pointer officiating, assisted by Dr. H. E Pettus and Rev. A. M. Shaw. The deceased is survived by her husband, Elmer Bass; her mother, Mrs. F. C. Simmons, of Crossett, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. Bill Curry, of Bastrop; four brothers, Victor, Johnnie and Scriv Simmons of Crossett and Drew Simmons of Elizabeth. Interment was made in the Blue Branch Cemetery.
