Miss Beatrice Ball of 21 Newton street and Homer A. Bessette of Canal street were married yesterday morning in Perpetual Help church, Rev. P.L. D’Amour performing the ceremony. The bride wore a gown of white crepe metcor. She carried bride roses. Following the church service the couple left for a wedding trip, and on their return will live on Jackson street.

Mrs. Homer Bessette Succumbs at 72
HOLYOKE – Mrs. Beatrice (Ball) Bessette, 72, widow of Homer Bessette of 1470 Northampton St., died Monday at Holyoke Hospital. She was born in this city, daughter of the late Vincent and Marie (Trudeau) Ball, and attended local schools.
Prior to her retirement 22 years ago she was a clerk and buyer in the houseware department at McAuslan & Wakelin Co.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Desrosiers, with whom she lived; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Durocher of Hartford and Mrs. Everett Mills of Edgartown; five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will take place at J.H. Fleiru & Sons funeral home Thursday at 8.30, with a high mass in Perpetual Help Church at 9. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours at the funeral home are today and Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10.
