Mrs. Bass Is Buried Thursday
Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Ennis Bass, 43, wife of Carl Lee Bass of the old Raleigh Road in Durham County were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o?clock at the Bethesda Baptist Church. Interment was in the Benson City cemetery at 4 o?clock. The Rev. John Knight, former pastor of the church conducted the services. Mrs. Bass died at Memorial Hospital in Chapel hill Wednesday morning at 5 o?clock. Born in Harnett County, the daughter of George Ennis and Mollie Reeves Ennis, she was educated in the schools of Harnett County and lived her early life there. She had been a resident of the Bethesda Community for the past 20 years. She was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to her husband are one son, Carl Lee Bass Jr., her parents Mr. and Mrs. George Ennis of Benston, two brothers, Herman Ennis of Durham and Jack Ennis of Washington, D.C.
