He is survived by his wife, Pamela Mott Bass, of Newport; son, Holman Clyde Bass, Jr., and his wife, Eva, of Carolina Beach; mother, Mary Reeves Bass O'Neal, of Raleigh; father, Samuel Quincy Bass, Sr., and step-mother, Ann, of Sanford; brother, Samuel Quincy Bass, Jr., and wife, Sharon Ruth, of Raleigh; sister, Emily B.
