Miss Blair Engaged To Mr. C.G. Bass
Columbia, April 25. ? Special: Mr. and Mrs William Henry Blair, of Columiba, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ann and Mrs. Cornelius raahm Bass, of the United State army, Camp Stewart, Ga. and Latta.
Miss Blair was graduated from Winthrop college last June and is librarian and teacher of history in Latta high school.
Mr. Bass was graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1940. He was president of his fraternity, Phi Kappa Sigma, and manager of the golf club. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Howard Bass, of Latta. His mother was Miss Sara Carmichael, of Dillon. Miss Blair?s mother was Miss Mary Lou Camak of Winnsboro.

450 People mourn two crash victims
The funeral for C.G. Bass Sr., 69, of Kingstree will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bass Family Cemetery in Latta. Those for his son, C.G. ?Neil? Bass Jr., 39, of Hemingway will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Goldfinch Funeral Home in Conway. Services for Ernest L. Jarrett, 71, of Kingstree will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Kingstree Memorial Gardens. Arrangements for the younger Bass? wife, Pamela Bass, 28, were pending late Tuesday.
