Besett, 72, of Morrilton, who died in a Little Rock hospital Monday, was today in the First Methodist Church by Rev. H.M. Lewis and Rev. G.B. Anes. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery in Clarksville by Reid-Harris Funeral Home. He was a retired agent for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, a Methodist and a Mason. He had been agent in Morrilton 51 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Margery Sykes Besett; a son, Howard Besett of Marion; two daughters, Mrs. Margery Thornton of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Mrs. Maxine McNamee of Memphis; two brothers, Orville Besett of Anderson, Ind., and Edward Besett of Union, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. George Janssen and Mrs. Henry Mueller of Minoka, Ill, and six grandchildren.
