Sruvivors are his wife, Edith Gay Bassett, three daughters, and son-in-laws, Faye and Randall Davis of Fort Green, Betty Lou and Charles Highley of Pine Grove, Loraine and Kenneth Highley of Reader, his son and daughter-in-law, Guy and Georgia Bassett of Reader; three brothers, Lee Bassett of Reader, John Bassett of Middlebourne, Ervin Bassett of Sistersville, 23 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
