Born and raised in Hawthorne, Mrs. Bass moved to Crystal River 13 years ago from Gainesville. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Homosassa. Survivors include her husband, A. Dean Bass of Crystal River; three daughters, Anita Shaeffer of Alachua, Brenda Land of Hawthorne and Sharon McCoy of Amity, Ark.; two sons, Steven Bass of Mayo and Wesley Bass of Cross City; three sisters, Margaret Harris of Phenix City, Ala., Betty Burbach of Cross City and Joyce MacDonald of Gainesville; five brothers, J.W. Glover of Hawthorne, Jimmy Glover of Gainesville, Edward Glover and Richard Glover, both of Interlachen, and George Glover of Cross City; and nine grandchildren.
