  Notes	Find-a-Grave Obituary Merrill Bassett Dies at Denver Merrill I. Bassett, 56, Westminster, Colo., son of Arthur Bassett, St. Joseph, died unexpectedly this morning at work in Denver, Colo. He was employed at the Cardinal Meal Co. A former St. Joseph resident, he left here about eight years ago. He was a native of Alliance, Neb. Survivors, in addition to his father, include his wife, Mrs. Hazel Bassett; two sons, Merrill I. Bassett Jr., of the home, and Alvin L. Bassett, St. Joseph; one stepson, James Banks, St. Joseph; one daughter, Mrs. Alta McMasters, San Bernardino; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Leon James, St. Joseph; Mrs. Patricia Goad and Miss Jeanette Banks, both of Denver; one brothers, Glenn Bassett, St. Joseph, and 12 grandchildren. The body will be brought to St. Joseph and will be taken to the Clark mortuary. The time of arrival is not known.
