Kenneth W. Bassett
Kenneth W. Bassett, 77, of Rocky Hill, husband of Janet (House) Bassett, died Monday, (August 26, 2002) at Haven Health Care, Rocky Hill. He was born in West Hartford, the son of Reuben and Addie (Rogers) Bassett, and before his retirement he was a dental technician for 38 years at the Rocky Hill Veterans Home and Hospital. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion, Rocky Hill. Besides his wife he leaves two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Lynn Bassett of
Meriden and Kurt Bassett of Manchester; a daughter a son-in-law Karen and Larry Miner of Farmington; eight grandchildren, Dennis Bassett, David Miner, Lauren Miner, Stephanie Bassett, Michelle Bassett, Debbie Bryans, Jason Bryans and Joseph Bryans; a great grandchild Tyler Bryans; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Hayden and Marjorie Loveland and a brother-in-law and his fiancee, Richard House and Dale Reynolds; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a funeral service Thursday, August 29, 2002, 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Rocky Hill. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to United Methodist Church of Rocky Hill, 623 Old Main St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave., Meriden, CT 06450-1004. Rose Hill Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
