Saundra Cordelia Clark Bass
Saundra Cordelia Clark Bass was born on January 30, 1948, to Henry Clark and Jessie Mae Smith in DeQueen, Arkansas. The family relocated to Dallas, Texas when Saundra was six. She was educated in the Dallas Independent School District and graduated from The "Great" James Madison High School. She then attended Bishop College, earning a degree in Sociology. Saundra was an avid believer in education and attended El Centro Community College, Prairie View University Extension, Collin Creek Community, and Cedar Valley Community College. She also attended The Deaf Actions Center to learn sign language.
She was a member of the Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship before becoming a member of Freedom Missionary Baptist Church.
On December 11, 2011, Saundra married Rev. Mitchell Bass. She loved to travel until her health declined. Saundra retired from AT&T. Saundra was a very giving person and was also a volunteer for many organizations.
Saundra is survived by her loving husband, Rev. Mitchell Bass; son, Darren Clark; sisters, Vivian Hegger and Kathy Famous (Bruce); granddaughter, Shedaria Dean; great-grandchildren, Dezariah Pugh, and Dezayveon Pugh. Saundra leaves a host of cousins, family, and friends who love and will miss her dearly.
