  Notes	Plattsburgh Press Republican, Friday 18 May 1990 Leon J. Bassett MORRISONVILLE – Leon J. Bassett, 84, died at the CVPH Medical Center Hospital. He was born Sept. 20, 1905, in Cadyville, the son of Charles and Louise (Gonyea) Bassett. Mr. Bassett retired in 1961 after many years as a correction officer at Clinton Correctional Facility in Danemora. He was a member of St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville. Survivors include his wife, the former Irene Kennedy; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Vioal) Ducatte of Cadyville; two brothers, Charles Bassett of Saranac Lake and Lloyd Bassett of Cadyville; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Jessey of Morrisonville, Mrs. Wilmer (Marion) McAllister of Plattsburgh and Mrs. Edward (Rita) LaBarge of Herkimer; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be at O’Neill-Redden-Drown, Plattsburgh, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Alexander’s Church, Morrisonville. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Cadyville.
