Death Mr. F.L. Bassett Occurred This Morning
The death is announced of Mr. F. L. Bassett, which occurred this morning at 9 o?clock at his home at 2067 Broad street.
Mr. Bassett at the time of his death was sixty-seven years old, and was a member of the Confederate Camp, No. 435. He served during the war between the states and was noted among his comrades for his bravery.
He has lived in Augusta for the past forty-four years, and spent a goodly number of them in doing photographic work. He was compelled to give up his work some time ago on account of ill health and his death occurred this morning.
The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon from the residence, Rev. Mr. Hill, of the Second Presbyterian church, officiating.
The interment will be in the city cemetery, and he is survived by a wife, but leaves no children.
