Linda W. Bass
Mrs. Linda Watson Bass, 82, of Dunn passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn. She was born in Wake County on Sept. 11, 1941 to the late Clarence and Mirtice Morris Watson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Bass; son, Jerry Bass; brother, Roger Waston; and sisters, Barbara Toler and Patsy Clayton.
Mrs. Linda enjoyed entertaining, especially with food. She had amazing strength and it showed during her lengthy illness.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2023, at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Bobby Richardson. The burial will be private.
She is survived by her daughter, Crystal and husband, Dwight, of Dunn; son, Randy Bass and wife, Judy, of Willow Spring; sisters, Celia Sasser and husband, Sherwood, of Dunn, June Creech of Middlesex, and Sylvia Weeks of Alabama; nine grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
The family would love to thank her dialysis family for their love and care for Mrs. Linda during her illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are by Skinner & Smith Funeral Home in Dunn.
