Amy Bass
Mrs. Amy Bass, 56, of Fuquay-Varina, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh. She was born in Harnett County on October 27, 1968, to the late Zebedee and Brenda McLamb Bass. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Deodric and Ronnie Bass, and Milton and Matrice McLamb.
Amy was a 1987 graduate of Harnett Central High School. She then graduated from Sampson Community College in 1993 with an Associate Degree in Nursing, working for over thirty years as a LPN.
Amy loved her dogs and her grand pups. She enjoyed going to the beach, fishing, and boat rides. Her greatest title was ?MeMe? and cherished her grandchildren deeply.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Fuquay by Pastor Steve Gordon. Burial will follow at Rawls Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Michael Bass; son, Michael ?Zeb? Bass and wife Lina; daughter, Marie Baker and husband Nathaniel; grandchildren Jeremiah Christian Baker, Adaleya Joyce Baker; and sisters, Pam Bass, and Kim Bailey and husband Robert.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home in Dunn.
