  Notes	Find-a-Grave Obituary Martha Virginia (Cutler) Bass Martha Virginia Cutler Bass, 81 of New Bern, died August 17, 2008 at Craven Regional Medical Center. She retired as a bank teller with Bank of America and she was a member of Temple Baptist Church for 50 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Lillian Cutler, one brother, Leonard Otis Cutler and her sister, Lola Moore. She is survived by her husband, Merrell Bass, three daughters, Cynthia Scott and husband Leon and Martha Brinson and husband Clem all of New Bern; Lynne Shirley and husband Steve Shirley of Beaufort, SC; grandchildren, Marie Scott and husband Michael Garrett, Blair and Brooke Brinson, Ginny Black and husband Gabe, Eddie Shirley and wife Angela and Daphne McCracken, great-grandchildren, Dylan Landry, Lila Black, Addison Shirley and Connor McCracken and several loving nieces. Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Cotten Chapel with Dr. Steve Cobb and Rev. Joe Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
