A native o Hertford, NC, she was the daughter of the late Claude Roscoe and Pencie Crenshaw Bass. Mrs. Yount was retired from Hudson aned Belk, downtown Raleigh after 27 years of employement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Michael Yount, St. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel in Garner. Burial will follow at Mountlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. Surviving are sons, Charles M. Yount and wife Shirley, Lee W. Yount and wife, Faye, Mike Yount, Jr. and wife, Charlene; daughter, Jessie Y. Gardner and husband, Lennie; brother Merrell Bass; 14 grancdchilrden; and 27 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tueday from 6:00-8:00 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Rd., Garner. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to the chrity of one?s choice.
