William M. Bass
Dunn.-William Martin Bass, 48, died at his home, Roseboro, Route 2, Monday morning at 10:30 o?clock following a short illness.
Funeral services will be held from Mount Elam Church Tuesday afternoon at 5 o?clock, with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Bass was a native of Sampson County, the son of Martha Tew and James D. Bass. He was a veteran of the First World War and prior to his death was employed as a mechanic.
Surviving are his parents; a son, O.C. Bass of Roseboro, Route 2; two daughters, Marie Bass and Chellie Jane Bass of Roseboro, Route 2; and three sisters, Mrs. Lillie J. Tew of Erwin, Mrs. Mittie McClenney of Turkey, and Mrs. Glenn Bruce of Rosboro, Route 2.
