He was a native of Sampson County, a past employe of the Sampson Electric Co. and a veteran of World War II. Funeral services will be held at Plain View Baptist Church, Thursdy at 3 p.m. by the Rev. R.M. Brown, assisted by the Rev. Oscar Honeycutt. Interment will be in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosa B. Bass, four daughters, Elaine, Betty, Edith and Sylvia Bass of the home; two sons, Larry and Wayne Bass of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins Bass of Rt. 1., Clinton; five sisters, Mrs. Marvin Westboork of Clinton, Mrs. Dock Bass of Rt. 3, Clinton, Mrs. Glenn Brewer of Raleigh, Mrs. Glenn Harmon of Richmond and Miss Judy Bass of the home; four brothers, Karoki Bass of Rt. 2, Roseboro, Burchal of Rt. 1, Clinton, Burlene of Clniton and J.T. of Denver, Colo.
