Doreen K. Bassett
MALONE -- Doreen K. Bassett, 69, died Feb. 3, 2014, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center.
Born Jan. 14, 1945, in Nicholville, New York, she was the daughter of Levi and Catherine Wilson LaPage.
She was a 1963 graduate of St. Lawrence Central School, a devoted wife and mother, and a communicant of St. John Bosco Church.
On Sept. 12, 1970, she married James L. Bassett at St. Mary's Church in Brushton.
She is survived by her husband, James, of Malone; her son, Ronald Bassett and his companion, Carolyn Wilcox, of Plattsburgh; a daughter, Jeanette Bassett of Malone; a brother, Phillip McCausland of San Angelo, Texas; and three grandchildren, Ryan, Joseph, and Hailey.
Graveside committal services will be held Friday, May 16, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in Dickinson.
Arrangements are by the Spaulding Funeral Home Inc. of Malone.
