Carol Roberts Bass
Carol Roberts Bass, 76, of Marietta, GA, passed away on December 8, 2024.
A memorial visitation will be held on December 16, 2024, from 5:00-7:00pm at Marietta Funeral Home, located at 915 Piedmont Road, Marietta, GA 30066.
Carol was born on October 7, 1948, in Durham, NC, to Eugene and Virginia Roberts. After graduating from Durham High School, she attended Greensboro College before moving to Marietta, GA.
Carol worked as a PE paraprofessional at Kincaid Elementary School for many years where she was beloved by both students and staff alike for her caring and compassion for others. Known for her great sense of humor and fun nature, Carol could always be found with a coke in her hand and a story to tell. She adored her husband, Richard, and the life they built together. Among her proudest achievements were raising her daughters and fulfilling her role as "Nay Nay" to her adored grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her husband of 35 years, Richard Bass; children, Hollis Grabrovac (husband Jason), Megan Foster (husband Mike); Bryan Bass, Leigh Anne Bass, and Geoff Bass; sister, Nancy Murray (husband John) of Durham, NC; and grandchildren, Hadley Grabrovac, Hudson Grabrovac, Vivienne Foster, Grant Foster, Brennan Bass, Ema Bass, Kylie Bass, and Sophie Bass.
Carol suffered from a long illness with Alzheimer's and was fortunate to have a great team of family support to care for her at home until the end. Flowers are appreciated but donations may be made in Carol's memory to the Alzheimer?s Association.
