He was born September 26, 1935 in Fort Meade, FL and moved to this area in 1983 from Frostproof, FL. Mr. Bass was a retired Grove Manager, he served in the Army and National Guard and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Venus, FL. Survivors include his daughters, Lee Ann Bullard of Avon Park, FL, Shelley Worley of Punta Gorda, FL; sons, Tom of Immokalee, FL, Scott of Dothan, AL, Todd of Frostproof, FL; sister, Martha McAuley of Fort Meade, FL; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Mary. Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 11:00 at First Baptist Church in Venus. FL. Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice Inc., 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, FL. 34238. Arrangements were made in Port Charlotte Florida.
