Gloria Price Bass
Gloria Price, 85, of Richmond, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hannon E. Bass Jr.; and her parents, Rufus and Kathleen Price. She is survived by two nieces, Colleen Bass and Barbara G. Bass, both of Richmond; a nephew, Alfred M. Bass Jr. of Providence, R.I.; and loyal canine companion, Shirley. Mrs. Bass was the officer manager with Dr. David Dumville for over 25 years. She was a member and deaconess at Bon Air United Methodist Church and a founding member of Willow Oaks Country Club. Mrs. Bass was an avid tennis player, enjoyed deep sea fishing and loved animals. The family will receive friends at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 18 and one hour prior to the service at Bon Air United Methodist Church. Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, at Bon Air United Methodist Church, 1645 Buford Road, Bon Air. Interment Riverview Cemetery, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
