  Notes	The Robesonian, Lumberton, North Carolina, 24 October 1949 Thurman Bass Rites Sunday Afternoon Thurman Bass, 35, of Bladenboro, died Saturday at five in the morning at Baker hospital here. Mr. Bass was injured in a dive at White Lake on July 30 and had been in hospitals since that time suffering with paralysis. Funeral services were held Sunday at Antioch Baptist church and burial followed in New Hollywood cemetery. Rev. George Wallace conducted the services. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nellie Brisson Bass; two daughters, Emma Jean and Annette; a son, Lyndell; and his mother, Mrs. Stella Bass of Fairmont.
