Connie J. Bass, age 64, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away February 18, 2026, in Tampa, Florida. She was born March 11, 1961, in Avon Park, Florida to Ules and Dorothy Louise (Baucom) Jackson. Connie retired from the Human Resources field 15 years ago. She is of Baptist Faith and has been a lifelong resident of Avon Park. She is survived by her Husband ? Artie Bass; Son ? Jay Bass (Lindsay); Step-Daughter ? Melissa Goss (Daniel); Sisters ? Shelia Shrum (Bill); Rosalind Wilkes (Lawrence); Lucy Prescott; Beth Jones (Mark); Brother ? James Jackson (Debbie); 3 Grandchildren ? Carmen; Alexa; Shay; and 4 Great Grandchildren. Connie is preceded in death by her parents and beloved brother-in-law, Perry Prescott, Sr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM with family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 AM at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park with interment following in Bougainvillea Cemetery.
