Jeannette Bass
ELM CITY -- Jeanette Bass, 70, born May 28, 1939, of 6212 East Langley Rd. died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 at Wilson Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home on Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Wayne Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband, William Earl Bass of the home; two daughters, Patricia B. Farmer and husband, Jay Todd, and Lorraine B. Barnett and husband, Scott; two sons, Bill Bass and wife, Glenda, and John Bass Sr. and wife, Lorraine, all of Elm City; two sisters, Hazel Oakley and husband, Arthur, of Greenville and Glenn Robinson and husband, Mitchell of Tarboro; four brothers: Robert Matthews and wife, Miriam, of Rocky Mount, Albert Matthews and wife, Grace, of Greenville, Mack Matthews of Greenville and Jimmy Matthews and wife, Consuela, of Washington, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Buddy Bass, Todd Farmer, John Bass, Emily Bass, Chelsea Barnett, Chassidy Barnett, Trevor Barnett and Chaylan Barnett; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Spencer Bass.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 until 9 at the funeral home and other times at the home.
