Lena M. Bass
Lena M. "Peggy" Bass went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 13, 2013. She was born on March 22, 1924 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence O'Neal. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O. Bass.
She is survived by a daughter, Martha Bass; son, Mark Bass and his wife Connie and a grandson, Shane Bass. She is also survived by a sister, Mickie Bone and husband Phillip; nephew, Craig Bone; sister-in-law, Bonnie O'Neal; niece, Robin Wester; and nephews, Gary and Mike O'Neal.
Peggy loved spending time in her home listening to music and enjoying her beloved dog, Jesse. Peggy will be greatly missed but we are comforted in knowing that it is better to be absent from the body and present with the Lord.
A memorial service to remember Peggy will be held in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1052 S. First St. Nashville, NC on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 3 pm. A private burial will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013.
