Doris Bass Moore
MISSOURI -- Doris Bass Moore, 86, passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2010. She was a native of Wilson until two years ago, when she went to live with her son in West Plains, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Athaline Bass; her husband: Ben Moore; a stepson: James Moore; three brothers: Tommy, Pete, and Frank Bass; two sisters: Elizabeth Deans and Athaline Bass.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday, at 11 a.m., in Maplewood Cemetery, with the Rev. Johnny Sullivan officiating.
She is survived by her son: Steve Moore (Glenda), of West Plains, Mo.; a stepdaughter: Carole Scott (Fred), of McAlpin, Fla.; a step-son: Douglas Moore (Joyce), of Jacksonville; a stepdaughter-in-law: Jean Moore, of Wilson; brothers: Eugene Bass (Judy), Bruce Bass (Lois); sisters-in-laws: Pearl, Marlene, Geraldine Bass, Lillian Wright; brother-in-law: L. J. Moore (Carlie); 14 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Shingleton Funeral Home tonight from 6:30 to 8:30.
