Virginia Carson Bass
Virginia Carson Bass, 86, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010.
Born June 18, 1924, in Edgecombe County, N.C., she had been a Peninsula resident since 1946. She was employed with Nachman's clothing store for 26 years and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert H. Bass.
Survivors include her son, Robert G. 'Bobby' Bass and his wife, Rebecca; a granddaughter, Amanda Bass Upson and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at Riverside-Altmeyer Funeral Home with service to begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
Arrangements are under the care of Altmeyer Funeral Home-Riverside Chapel.
