Bass ? Cheatham
The marriage of Miss Bennie Hunter Cheatham to Mr. George Mayo Bass, of Lynchburg, Va., took place Tuesday evening in the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. Howard Robertson, in Blackstone, Va. The Rev. L. M. Ritter officiated.
The parlor was beautifully decorated with palms, ferns and pink and white cut flowers.
During the ceremony ?hearts and Flowers? was beautifully rendered by Miss Jessie Crowe.
The bride was gowned in a dainty creation of white net over taffeta and carried a shower of Bride roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Bass left for Lynchburg, where they will make their home. The bride?s going away gown was of dark blue cloth.
Preceding the ceremony an elegant supper was served, to which the following guests were invited:
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Eaton Moore, of Crewe; Mr. Walter Pleasants Bass, of Lynchburg; Mrs. W.A. Elliott and Miss Clara Bell Lockett, of Peterburg, Va.; Mr. and Mrs. C. Howard Robertson, Dr. and Mrs. John Richard Adams, Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Hardaway, Mrs. Blackwell Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Richmond Dillard, Miss Jessie Crowe, and Rev. L. M. Ritter, all of Blackstone.
