Milton “Bud” Bass, 81
Fort Meade - Mr. Milton "Bud" Bass of Fort Meade died Sunday (November 5, 2000) in Bartow. He was 81.
Born in St. Cloud on January 2, 1919, he came to Fort Meade from Tampa 75 years ago. He was a plant operator for Mobil Chemical Phosphate Company. He was a Navy Sea Bees veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Meade.
He is survived by his sons, Paul Bass, Punta Gorda, and Roy C. Bass, Pensacola; stepson, Dan L. Moody, Fort Meade; daughters, Lorraine Harrell, St. Petersburg, and Norma Aggelis, Fort Meade; stepdaughter, Fay Protheroe, Gainsville; sister, Myrtle Wilkes, Mary Louise Sandlin and Martha McAuley, all of Fort Meade, and Bonnie Prendes, Orlando; brother, Barney C. Bass, Punta Gorda; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 this morning at Moody Funeral Home. Services will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel.
