Bass, Henrietta Burton, 91, of N. Chesterfield, Va. went to be with her friend Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Leland. She is survived by her children, Paula and Kevin (Robin); grandchildren, Daniel (Maggie), Spencer (Melissa), Chris (Mae), Stephanie (Jon) and Will; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Miriah, Sierra and Carrie; great-great-grandchild, Blakeleigh; and her older sister, Marion Pratt. Mrs. Bass was a founding member of Oak Forest Baptist Church in Chesterfield, Va. She was not only a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother, she is a child of God and her life?s desire was for all to come to know her friend, Jesus. The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Oak Forest Baptist Church, 5101 Courthouse Rd. where a funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Maury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HopeTree Family Services, P.O. Box 849, Salem, Va. 24153.
